Two Exciting New Programs from Carnegie Hall

Just Added on Carnegie Hall+!

Carnegie Hall+ is thrilled to announce the addition of two new programs from the Hall’s famed Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, including the channel debuts of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Daniil Trifonov, and Klaus Mäkelä.

The Hall’s beloved National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) brings together its brightest alums for a one-night-only performance to commemorate the ensemble’s first 10 years. Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads this spirited performance of Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F with star pianist Daniil Trifonov and Shostakovich’s “Leningrad” Symphony.

Another highlight of the season is rising conductor Klaus Mäkelä making his anticipated Carnegie Hall debut leading the Orchestre de Paris in its first return to the Hall in more than 20 years with a program of Stravinsky’s The Firebird and The Rite of Spring. Both revolutionary works catapulted the composer to international fame, and Mäkelä’s reading has been praised as “organic ... each scene flowing seamlessly into the next” (Chicago Classical Review).
